If ever you wondered what went into re-stocking a rifle with Laminate, this should give you a flavour for what Paul Day does to turn a shapeless blank into a think of beauty – they work too! I’ve got 4 of them and have used them all over the world. Winter Summer rain or shine, my Laminate Stocks have never warped or cracked and draw admiring glances from whoever sees’s them!

Each stock starts as a Stratabond laminate blank made from 1/16th” layers that have been saturated with dye and adhesive before being pressure-bonded together

The stocks are cut using a duplication machine. Paul is able to re-stock the majority of makes and models and bespoke workmanship like this means he can custom them to fit perfectly

The new stock begins to take shape and any machine marks are sanded out of the stock before the detail work commences.

Machining out the inlet of a stock can be tricky work but Paul has many years of experience and a wealth of satisfied customers to back up his abilities.

The action is fitted and barrel free-floated. Full pillar-bedding is offered as an alternative and you can choose end-caps, tips and spacers as options and include recoil-reducers for heavier calibres too.

The finished rifle having been oil-finished by hand polished and wax-polished!
